Leading recruiter announces record 207% profit increase

Eden Brown, one of the UK’s leading professional recruitment consultancies, has announced record six month results of £2.1 million, an increase of 207% on the same period last year.

The results come after private equity firm Hamilton Bradshaw, founded by BBC Two’s new dragon James Caan, invested in the company in March this year.

Hamilton Bradshaw Human Capital (HBHC) the division which specialises in the staffing sector, invested in the business after recognising its huge potential within the technical and public markets in which it operates.

HBHC identified the award-winning recruitment consultancy due to its strong national presence, its excellent financial controls, high staff retention and its ethical presence within the industry.

James Caan, Chief Executive, Hamilton Bradshaw says:

“We saw great potential in the management team at Eden Brown due to the high demand in this area. We recognised this could only be served by increasing the staff base to execute the number of orders being won. To identify the right calibre of staff, we launched the Eden Brown Business Academy which aims to recruit an additional 70 consultants over the first year, increasing capacity by 60%.

“We’ve also looked at renewing the focus on Eden Brown’s core markets and increasing penetration into some of its key specialist areas; taking a look at key regional performers; putting in place new plans and structures to maximise revenue and performance and attracting a new management team which we believe has the capacity to triple revenue over the next three years in one of its divisions.”
